When we thought more about it we realised there were many more artists on toggle.co.nz who use recycling (or as some say, 'upcycling'....hhhmmmmm).
Let's see...Crafthouse makes bracelets out of old movie film found on a street in NYC. The movie is about about Albert Schweitzer, philosopher, physician and humanitarian.
The Birdspoke brand is lovingly handmade by Auckland artist Rachelle Wood.
The work is all moulded, shaped, sculpted, pinched, printed, cut, fired, braided and stitched by hand. Very bespoke...with a special love of nature and birds of the world.
Rachelle uses quality, non toxic polymer clay that is hardened to a flexible and durable finish. All the other ingredients are recycled including the packaging.
HEY! We will be at the Eden Arts Festival tomorrow, making badges and selling craft. We will have Birdspoke, Trixie Delicious, Fossage, Jellybones, Nut and Bee and Cheek Pinchy along for the day. Also lots of toggly items for sale...
